NetSuite Mimics Salesforce Cloud wannabe NetSuite, Larry Ellison's other company, has bundled up a bunch of widgetry like Salesforce's wannabe NetSuite, Larry Ellison's other company, has bundled up a bunch of widgetry much like Salesforce's platform-as-a-service and dubbed it the SuiteCloud Ecosystem.

As one might infer from the name, the on-demand products, development tools and services are designed to let customers run their business operations in the cloud and let software developers build mission-critical apps on NetSuite's ERP/CRM/e-Commerce underpinnings, which means ISVs can embed NetSuite's feature set into their apps.

It includes a SuiteCloud Developer Network (SDN) and, an online application marketplace, as well as NetSuite's multi-tenant SaaS infrastructure.

SDN leverages NetSuite's Business Operating System (NS-BOS), which makes the applications unavoidably dependent on NetSuite's proprietary functionality.

Most SuiteApps run completely inside NetSuite, hosted on the same servers and living in the same database. Some are integrated with other SaaS systems that NetSuite customers use.
